Confessions of a Tea Snob – Lapsang Souchang

2013-07-27T01:33:59-05:00

The name is a mouthful, but that’s appropriate because so is the tea.  Lapsang Souchang is a westerners tea – popular over here, not so much in China which is odd given that it’s an old tea style.

It’s a true black tea, it’s smoked over pinewood fires which gives it a very strong smoke flavour […]

Pasta and a product review

2017-05-19T12:22:05-05:00

It’s Mother’s Day week and given that I work in a family owned floral shop, things can get a tad busy.  Dinner needs to be quick, tasty and filling so they use to frequently be what I called Pasta Surprise (it’s pasta again, surprise!).

Confessions of a Tea Snob – Blue Ginger

2017-05-19T12:22:05-05:00

This is one of the sample teas that I purchased from Harney and Sons – loose tea samples cost $2 and it’s a fantastic idea.  I would have saved myself an order worth of tea if chains like Teavana embraced this view.  Anyway, that’s a rant for another day.

I’m not a fan of herbal teas, […]

Product Review – Genius White Sandwich Bread by Glutino

2017-05-19T12:22:05-05:00

I don’t like almost all the commercially produced gluten free breads on the market, to be fair, I didn’t really like or eat a lot of commercially made bread before I found out I was gluten intolerant.  Sandwich bread had two functions as far as I was concerned.  I have two all-time pleasures sandwich wise.  […]
