Being true to my promise to post tasty recipe options for Primal meal options.

One of my favorite things use to be having nacho chips and cheddar cheese dip/spread – the recent changes to my dietary choices mean no chips but that doesn’t mean I can’t have this cheese spread on occasion.

  • 1 tub McLaren’s Aged Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 package cream cheese
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 dashes of tabasco
  • 3/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne or chipotle pepper

Combine all ingredients at room temperature in a large bowl, I use a stand mixer (LOVE my KitchenAid) but a hand-mixer will do the job.   My father use to eat this stuff on toast, I’ve served it with crackers and nacho chips.  Since embracing the Primal lifestyle, I can tell you that celery is the perfect cheddar cheese spread delivery system.   This spread can be heated and used as a rather zippy cheese sauce for broccoli.
