Welcome to Andalusiancook.com – home of my new cooking blog. I’ll endeavour to update far more often than I did my other blog because this one is devoted to my chief love in the SCA; good food.
It has long been my frustration that there’s a perception by some that medieval food was boring, bland or rotten (literally) when it was none of those. The goal of this blog is to help provide information about authentic, period medieval food (not just Andalusian) as well as share concepts I learned when I worked in a three star banquet facility. Tasty food isn’t that hard to make, not for two people and not for a hundred. It just takes planning, commitment and a general love of food.
While most of the recipes posted will be medieval in origin, a goodly amount will not be so watch for the tags and the categories that will emerge over time.
