Wow, I’ve been bad. No posts in months which generally isn’t like me. It’s not that I haven’t been thinking of cooking projects, I have, I just haven’t gotten my lazybutt to my computer to type them out.
One of the things that I’m pondering is the perfect steak. Yes, steak in March – it’s not your usual bake thing or your medieval type thing but it’s something that’s looming on my culinary dance card.
Steak dinner for a maximum of sixty seated guests at a Crown Tournament which is a camping event. The logistics of it aren’t that complicated – the feast is what you’d expect, steak, potato, veg and dessert. The challenge of it is to produce commercial quality flavor consistently and serve it all fast so it’s piping hot and tasty. That part I’m pretty sure I can do to, so the focus at the moment is the marinade. So brace yourself, you’re likely going to get a wack ton of steak marinades in the near future interspersed with whatever else sidetracks me.
